to enjoy & for showing us how we are all connected. Thank you, John for being the unique
person you were/are & sharing yourself with us. There shall be no other light at bright as

Just wanted to say how much John and his music comfort and inspire me today, as I battle a
chronic digestive disorder and deal with grief and disharmony in my life, even more than
they did when I first discovered him in 1973, at the age of 15. Meeting him by chance on a
street corner in London in 1988 (as a freelance writer, I considered interviewing him for
an article) was a high point in my life. The former Cat Stevens is my brother-in-law, and
I listen to a variety of other (mostly folk) artists, but John's sincerity and optimism
never fail to lift me. Had he lived, I am certain he would be even more popular -- even
more of a phenomenon, both for his music and his environmental and social activism --
today than he was at the height of his career in the 1970s. Rest in peace, and thank you
for all you have given me and continue to give.  

Thank you for your wonderful site, yes I wish John was still here and I miss him as much
as ever he was taken far too soon,all the best ones are.x

Have been thinking alot about you lately, John, and wanted to wish you a Happy Father's
Day.  I often wonder if Zack or Anna Kate have given you a grandchild yet ... I know it
would be a very special day for you if that should occur.  Still miss you like you left us
yesterday....  

Dear John we love you all  

John, you were here some years ago for fishing im  the Souht of my country and singing in
our Viña del Mar festival.  Your beautiful songs still sound when the rain is coming or
when the sun bright every morning.   I miss you friend, but I do know I will see you again
because I learned how to see and how to enjoy the world and how to take care of it.  
Thanks friend for yours songs, your love to the environment and for give me the
opportunity to enjoy your songs.   From the end of the world I light a candle to my very
best friend.  I love you John.  

He lives on through his music.You are dearly missed our beloved brother!  

It's Mother's Day tomorrow and I would like to light a candle for John's mother Irma who
passed away this year. And Happy Mother's Day to my mother who passed away a year ago this
month and to all the other mother's up there in heaven....Sing a special song for them,
John........  

I have loved the music of John since I was in junior high school back in 1971,  I have
seen him in concert 8 times in Iowa, I took my sister, my mom and when I got married to my
wife Elaine, we all went together.  He is timeless and I dearly miss him.  He has seen me
through some very difficult times, now my children love his music as well.  God Bless you

You were the best and you will never know how much you are missed. There is a quote by
Billy Joel that "Only the good die young" and we need no more proof of that. We lose too
many great artist and muscians to airplane wrecks.  I hope you are now singing to your mom
up there!
